How hard is it..

to use the standup deck on mowers like the country clipper?

For my snapper, I put the electric hoist on it and raise it up

on end..plenty of room to work under the deck. Looks like if you

go to the trouble to use the standup deck, a person might as well

stand it on up. Easier to work on than sitting on the ground, which

you would do if working on the blades of a standup...imho.

Pretty sure they did not engineer the tilt up deck for the buyer that has hoists at their pisposal.
Nor jacks or ramps.
Many home owners don't even have an array of screwdrivers or wrenches.

I have owned my Country Clipper for 12 years and mow 5 1/2 acres each week or when needed. I have a 60 inch deck and I'm
83 years old, so I can't lift it by hand anymore. So I use a chain hoist in my garage to lift the deck. It is so handy
to clean that I clean my deck after each use. I have about 1335 hours on my mower and have had very little expense other
than oil and filters. I wouldn't trade it for any other mowers that I have seen. And the Joy stick is a pleasure to
operate.

I have a Country Clipper and to get the deck ready to flip up easy but to raise it hard. I can't raise it to heavy. If
someone sits on back to counter balance I could. They have a electric hoist to do it butt that is extra. I just drive
up on rams and get down on the ground. Then the only problem is getting me up. I love the joy stick control. I call it
my no brainer do not have to figure witch stick to move. I just point the joy stick the way I want to go.

But, But, But...they have a video of a 14 year old lifting the deck with ease.
Seriously, I have a Country Clipper and just love it. I have a screw jack from a 1957 Plymouth that I use to help lift the deck. If one of my
sons are around the 2 of us can lift it easily. It's a 54 inch Boulevard and it does a fantastic job on my lawn! So easy to clean it and take
the blades off to sharpen. I've got to where I use the business end of a crow bar to break up the build up. Then a big putty knife to finish the job.

I have a 60 inch EDGE with joy stick and love it, had for about 5 years now and mow apx 5 acre a week, some times the back farm gets it every other week. I have 391 hours on mine and when I sharpen blades I drive in the shop and use hoist.

I remove the blades of my Ferris once a year to sharpen them. When I have it up I never find any accumulation to worry about so I have never cleaned it. I lift the front with my forklift.

I have a Country Clipper. Standing the deck up is not easy for an old man. Talked with the dealer sometime ago, and the NEW Country Clipper machines have an optional mechanism that lets you stand the deck up by putting an electric drill on it.

Many homeowners wouldn't bother to check the blades or even the oil.
