Yahoo email HELP please!!

Somehow my YAHOO email has been hacked. When I try to log in it tells me my password isnt correct. I have tried the recovery process, but even the phone numbers I give dont work. My wife and oldest Daughter even tried their hand at it. They say it is somehow blocked. I would care that much, but I do have pics of Mom and Dad before they passed working here on the farm, and some early pics of my kids. Even saved some old emails from friends that have left this world also. I dont look at it every day, but noticed this problem about the same time that Big Iron and Tractor House had issues. Not sure if my account with them was linked to my email. Heck, not even sure how all this works. Does anyone on here know how to unlock a Yahoo email account that is frozen, or locked?? Thanks in advance. Al

When you get it fixed, I strongly suggest you take the pics and emails you want to save and get them transferred to a CD or jump drive. Then drop Yahoo and anything to do with it like a hot rock. Use another email server like Thunderbird or anything that isn't MS, Google or Yahoo. They are just huge targets for weird guys sitting in their Moms basement with nothing better to do.

Yes to some extent the bigger the email service the bigger the target.

On the other hand there are millions using those big servers that have never had an issue.

FB is the 2nd biggest there is IIRC and they had an issue, cost them $6 billion in stock value in a few hours. It was likely hackers. 553 million FB records were breeched in 2019. Yahoo was hacked and breeched in 2013 and over 1 billion accounts were compromised. Yahoo was again hacked in 2014 and information from a billion accounts were stolen. Linkiden was hacked in June of this year and 700 million accounts were offered for sale on the Dark Web.Twitter was hacked in 2018 and the information of 330 million users was stolen. Experian was hacked and the information of 200 million people was stolen.

So tell me Mr "BS", do you really think the bigger they are the more secure they are? Do a search, I just hit a few of the bigger ones.
