Getting some seat time in

We got started picking soybeans but have been going through a rainy event that's just enough to keep the moisture too high to be able to pick. In the meantime I have started disking up the corn land while waiting on another order of parts to get here. My helpers are still mowing ditches and woods. That seems to be a never ending job. We've got to have the highest ditch milage per tillable acre ratio anywhere. Feels great to be able to get behind a tractor steering wheel a minute instead of the toolbox and it's contents.

I don't know...I've heard reports of possibly 1 to 3 inches. We have been in a dry spell so it's getting time for it to turn into a wet spell again.

Thanks Phil. It hasn't been too many years ago that we didn't finish picking soybeans till Feb 10th on account of rain and high moisture. Sure hope we don't have to re-live that.

Tools make the job.......nice equipment. Nice banks to the ditches that you surely fixed that was so that your mower, designed specifically for challenges like that, can just whiz right along.

Just curious about mowing the ditch....your desire, county regulation? Seems with that much ditch to mow you mentioned, you aren't doing it just to be doing it.
