I suspect that eventually you will explain the joke to us right? Whatever it means, it must be pretty funny (and pretty complex).

Believe it or not WL, I know what it is. I just don't get why it's funny. It was supposed to be funny right? Maybe refers to some previous post & replies that I missed?

Nothing to explain, it's all right there.

Some might say that's a thinking man's joke.

At first things were Ok. The load I had to carry on the job was reasonable about .005 watts. Then the organization I work for took a job with a 4 ohm speaker. We were not told
this in advance it was an administrative decision beyond the production floor. First a Darlington coupled driver heated from over conductivity on the loading dock. Then a
capacitor (in the chain of responsibility) had an internal perforation allowing juices to flow into its guts. Because I was feeding that Cap, My job description was modified to
include 30 watts rather than 5. I got a fever that lasted 3 seconds before I ruptured from the forces of expansion. My paint job went into disrepair as I became incommunicado. I
felt like it was not my fault. Then it was obvious I was not covered by insurance, and I was replaced along with my team. And here I am, un employed and without any remaining
value to offer. Depressed.

(quoted from post at 10:28:36 11/17/21) That's an over loaded Metal Oxide resistor.
would bet a doughnut that you & I have toasted a few of those in our bread boarding days! :)
