Some Dead Junk by the Sea

I found these pieces near the beach, part of a quarry operation. The quarry is still active but these things are no longer contributing to the effort.

(quoted from post at 13:17:15 12/27/21) Cool pics.

Does Iceland have any trees or only grass?

Thanks SweetFeet, Iceland has trees that were almost all planted in recent times. The old growth was harvested for firewood and building. So when you see groves or small forests of mature spruce, they were planted years ago. The constant and strong winds make it difficult for many kinds of trees to start out life here. When an Icelander comes to visit me in my part of the world its fun to see their amazement-its nothing BUT trees here hahahaha!

I was under the impression that Iceland would have tough environmental laws which
would eliminate junk left behind.

I cant speak to that except to say this outfit is not exactly flying under the radar since this stuff is visible from the road. What may be of more general interest is their policies regarding land ownership. If you own a good chunk of land, usually hundreds of acres, in a wilderness areathe government can step in and take it from you to be set aside as a permanent wilderness. They generally allow a period of around 90 years before making an assessment and taking action. Not clear if theres any compensation but I know its no use fighting it. The govt will prevail.

The first four pics appear to be of a portable crusher plant. Then a conveyor, then what appears to be military truck converted into a water tanker.

(quoted from post at 18:53:55 12/27/21) Big Turbo on that Truck, why are you in Iceland? Shouldn't there be snow?

Here on vacation, usually come for 2 weeks in winter. It snowed next day, much more snow up north.
