1949 fox forage master video- part two

When i was a kid in 4-H, our leader showed us kids a home movie, of his corn and chopping days, it was as tall as him standing on the back wheel of a UB Moline tractor, with his arm up,cant remember the kind of chopper, maybe a Gehl, but that was tall corn, i bet he loved the the live PTO ,on the UB.

Enjoyed the old videos. I can remember dad raking silage out of the wagon. About 1965 maybe he bought a front unload Gehl wagon and a New Holland blower. Niebhor had a wagon and Gehl chopper. They worked together filling 2 silos. Those were the days. RB

(quoted from post at 05:43:44 04/04/22) Looks like a lot of danger especially if there were small kids around but those were the days!

Heck one of the selling points of the "Fox System" was that a single 14 year old boy could run the whole show by himself.

Imagine trying to use that as a selling point in this day and age! You'd get cancelled before the first commercial hit the airwaves.

Talking about dangerous and Fox equipment, Dad had a Fox Super D open station self-propelled chopper when me and my brother were real little. I'm talking 5-6 and 3-4. He let us sit on the steps and ride along while he was chopping. Again, imagine something like that going on in this day and age.
