Looking for two more weights PN 198 278 A

I inherited a custom hitch with four "[b:7bf92236dc]198 278 A[/b:7bf92236dc]" cast iron weights that still has room for two more weights. Does anyone want to get rid of a couple of these beasts?
I live in NC and would consider picking them up instead of shipping, but open to discuss...

(quoted from post at 08:17:20 06/29/22) Most folks here are not mind readers. What brand and model of machinery do said weights belong to????
Custom 3-pt hitch for counterweights for rear. So far they ve been on a Ford/New Holland, Massey Ferg, Oliver and who knowsI had them sandblasted and painted orange to match my LandPride quick hitch.

Take a side view picture showing the attachment method, and call all those dealers you mentioned. Most anyone is able accept a pic from your phone, maybe a parts man from any of those establishments can at least identify them, then you can make a more focused search.

By the way they vaguely remind me of the IH "auxiliary" front end weights used on construction equipment like backhoes to keep the front end down due to the weight of the backhoe.

Unfortunately that's not what they are. The part number is definitely not IH.

That's interesting the weights look to be on the wrong side for a quick hitch to work well. The ears for the tractor are on the back side looking at the pictures. The weights would be in the way to connect to the tractor. The weights look a little bit like the one on the front of our 4166. I think they are a bit bigger than those though.

No, the tractor side of the quick hitch with the pins is wide open. The hooks are for picking up the implement. Those are what are blocked by the weights.

However it also looks like the lower right hook is missing from the quick hitch, and the latching mechanisms are also gone.

It is likely this quick hitch was damaged and repurposed for the weights.

I just went thru the Land Price catalog and no where does the hitch show a weight bracket. I think
someone has added the weights to a Land Pride hitch.

Thanks for the input guys. I bought the quick hitch to dedicate to carrying these weights, and weights only. I don t know individual or combined weight of the unit. I only use it for counterweight when I m using the FEL. They certainly could have been front weights. I m counting on someone on the forum to recognize them by size or number.

On edit, the sandblaster said the weights weigh more than 100lbs each. His scales must have 100lb max limit, I m guessing.
