Veggie oil mix with CAV pump

I happen to have 5 gallons of new (not waste) veggie oil. I read somewhere it's bad for Lucas CAV pumps, is this so? I would like to mix it with diesel fuel just to use it up.

o, simply weigh the cost of pump vs cost of trashing 5 g of veggie oil.....you decide.

Probably get by with using it a little at a time, every other tank.

But I would only put it in if the weather was warm, you were going to use the entire tank in a short period
of time.

Still...

Our diesel already has 20 percent veggie
oil. Animal fat is what causes most
problems. I have been using B20 in my case
backhoe since they started. I think 20
yrs. No problems.

CAV sensitive to shearing the head off with thick/cold SVO oils if I recall. A low percent mix isn't the issue.

Oh. It's a 430 E. Case Backhoe. With a CAV pump.
