IHC LA 1 1/2-2 1/2 hp engine

I have a transparent fuel line from tank to fuel mixer/carburetor. Can't see any fuel in line when trying to crank. Why won't engine suck fuel?

Check valve stuck open or shut.

Thank you. Ball is loose, moves around when shaken.

The balance between air and fuel suction is out of adjustment. Might be a spring and adjuster. Jim

tell us how you are trying to start it. and how long is this plastic line. there is a check valve in the tank end of the line. probanly
sucking air or line is too long. picture please. been starting these engines since before i was 10 years old in order to bring water to the
house. open needle 1/2 a turn , press choke down and crank and should be running on 2nd or 3rd mag trip.

Line is as short as it can be. Probably getting air somewhere. Do you know where I can get a replacement fuel mixer/carb? Thank you.
