The guys in the tractor club, that is. We were supposed to drive tractors thru the ring at Mecum Auction in East Moline but with the forecast for the weekend of 15 to 20 degrees and 20 to 30 mph winds, the powers that be decided it was too cold to have the doors open and drive the tractors through the building. They will sell everything on the screen instead. Not sure how that will turn out price wise. Chris

Some big estate sale took place the last couple of days, in Wisconsin, things went dirt cheap, restored MD for $700.00 a 650 diesel for 1200.00and so on, every thing was nice i was told!

Many years ago I was at a sale at Aumann's when it started raining so hard they quit driving them through and sold the rest on screen. They still sold well, so in my opinion they will still sell good there because Mecum has a good name and reputation just as Aumann does

The area auctioneer will have something that won't start or drive which was suppose to drive through the ring. It gets sold on the screen without a fall off in price. People will want something or they will not in this day and age. I would not worry about the tractors in your sale. Tractors that are borderline scrap yard material maybe.

I would think between online buyers and those making the effort to attend in person have already done their research in to what they want to buy. Probably not very many are there to buy up only what goes cheap, or on a whim.

I take it they are not gonna maybe drive them a bit out in the cold when they are on the big screen either?
