3010 John Deere hydraulic issuesd

Need some help. I have a 3010 John Deere with a 48 loader. I was moving snow and then the loader would not raise.
I have the hydraulics for the loader hooked to the tractor hydraulic outlets. I did have the controls repaired
and have not used it very much since. There just does not seem to be any pressure to the hydraulic system. Is there
a possibility there is air in the line or pump? Or is this a bigger issues. Have not worked on hydraulic system
before and it has worked well Any suggestions would be appreciated as this is my snow removal unit. Thanks in
advance.

First, check that the hoses are firmly plugged in.

Be sure levers on each side of coupler are moved downward to turn oil flow on. Also acquire a 300-5000 psi gauge with JD male coupler tip to insert in breakaway coupler to check hyd pressure which should be 2250 psi

Does the power steering work, assuming it has a 3 point hitch does that raise and lower? Are you sure the hoses are plugged in ..properly.. the SCVs or ..hydraulic outlets.. as you call them? There is a way to destroke the hydraulic pump to free a sticky valve in it but we will only go into that if your PS and 3 point do not work.

Make sure hoses are not cross connected in terms of remote outlet. Sometimes we get in a hurry and do not watch such details.

The old 3010 hydraulic breakaway couplers are a bit different...

The levers are at the sides.

The lever in the photo is in the ''off''/''no flow'' position.

Later versions have a straight lever, IIRC

Wore out, do you know if the break away couplers have
been changed over to Pioneer style does the lever stay
in place? If so does it still provide the same function to
open the check ball on the hydraulic coupler tip?

Do the bucket cylinders work? Does it even have bucket cylinders? If not, could be that you blew a loader cylinder internally and the oil is just passing straight through, back in to the down pressure side and back to the system.

Thanks to each of you for responding. All the information was excellent and after doing more checking
since the power steering and three point worked, I checked the tractor outlets and yes one had become
loose. Correcting that little lever on it and we were good to go. Thanks again, appreciate this
forum, for giving us novices a helping hand

I have changed a LOT of ''20'' and ''30''-series couplers over, and the changeover barrels include the lever mechanism and it works ''as before''.

I have never changed over a ''10'' series, but looking at the parts catalog the ISO couplers for those do NOT include a lever, apparently.

STOP. Hold on a minute. If the levers turned wrong is the problem and there is pressure in the lines you will be tempted to turn them by using a pliers. Don't do it. To easy to break that little lever. Relieve the pressure in the hose first.
