And I thought you were sending my Dad a birthday card, today 1933, he's 90 and still going well.
Had an awesome get together at his church basement Sunday.

Germantown,

Congratulations to your dad. I sat next to a man on Sunday afternoon at our church choir practice. I've seen the man around and spoken to him frequently with just ''howdy'' and ''fine' conversations but nothing more. On Sunday, I found out that he is a retired officer from the US Navy. He is 96 years old and still going strong albeit more slowly. We had a great conversation and I'm eager to here much more about his life.

Thanks for that, I will share him.
I was on cake cutting duty, I didn't get any pics on my phone.
Had an awesome crowd, great weather too.

He was an in between Korea vet, got called home as my Great grandfather had heart attack and Dad was the only lineage of the farm.

It's a great day when you see those vets with their hat on , where they served, I try to get to them and offer a hand and thank them for their service.

Truly the greatest generation. GG Wes

My Sons birthday too. He was a Trat da boy. He used to sit in his Grandpa's lap and look at tractor books.

There was a Charles (Charlie) Dickens near here who was a John Deere dealer many years back until 1983. It seemed like most of
the JD dealers around here were owned by somebody named Charles.
