Interesting front axle set up to get more weight on the overhang for more lift. And shorter steering.

Actually same weight - less leverage on the overhang. The fulcrum is the back axle (or front axle in this configuration) so by moving the weight of the steering axle closer to the fulcrum, you lose leverage. Better to have your counter weight farther back. It certainly would tighten the turn radius though.
