Super Rhino Blade Doesn't fully hitch

I bought a 8 foot Super Rhino blade a few months ago and am having issues hooking it up fully on my fast hitch quick connect style arms I have. I thought they connected solidly until I tried to smooth some dirt and the hitch arms came off of the wrist pin on the hitch. My hitch arms do not fit into the pockets for the wrist pin. It is too tall. I am hoping the pictures will make it make more sense. Has anyone come up with a solution for this? I'd rather not grind metal off of the blade or hitch arms.

Is there a pin that can somehow sit underneath that I can hitch? I just sold another pair of fast hitch prongs that were the basic ones with the hole at the end....before I realized these don't work.

Looks to me like the blade pin area is hitting the top of the white latch part before the pin can be completely latched in. Will need to make a pin out in front to weld on or have to cut part of the blade or latch part away so they don't touch for the latch to work on the pin as they are.

From the last picture it is lacking quite a bit from latching. I don't see that grinding anything will fix it. It appears you need to extend the blade hitch ears down and add a new set of pin holes (a couple inches center to center) below the existing ones. Or get another set of basic prongs to use with the blade.

If the arms can spread wider, buy a couple of Cat II pins and attach them to the outside holes. They are available with different diameter threaded ends.

I think a good solution is to pull the pin out of each side and weld them to the underside of the existing metal aligned vertically with the existing holes. if nervous about strength, loop a square 1/2' bar under the new pin position and weld it in place. The fact that the Fast hitch adapters have a tall latch box prevents latching, and will also bind in the top of the existing opening limiting pivoting to adjust blade attack angle or changes in angle due to the geometry of the top link. Have a welder weld plate to put an extra set of holes,, in front of the existing holes, so that this metal is in front and clear of the upper structure. You may have to extend the top link hitch holes forward or not. This will allow the equipment to still be used with tractors with quick hitch( with high latches) and regular tractors as well.

Maybe I'm seeing things wrong, but isn't the zoomed-in pic of the pin showing that the pin has a larger diameter side and a smaller diameter side? Why not use the inner side of the pin?

It's not the pin size that is the problem. The latching mechanism on the top of the prong makes it too tall to allow the pin to seat down into the jaw.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I was hoping that there may be something that I wasn't thinking of that could correct it. I am leaning towards buying another set of 3 pt adapters that I will use for the blade. I had an extra set that I had not used for 10+ years so I sold them while I was cleaning up the barn. Real dumb move...hindsight is 20/20!

I saw how someone had welded extensions onto another rhino blade on tractorhouse. I didn't want to go that far and ruin the blade.

My 2nd best guess option was to weld the pin on the bottom to allow more room for the latch box. I will call around today to see if I can find some adapters.
