Nice sunny and warm day with temp in the 50s today. Good chance to fire up the pressure washer and clean up the old Loadstar after trucking in the mud and snow a couple of days ago.

Do you do any rust treatment on it with old oil or fluid film or one of those products?

No special treatment other than keeping it clean and parked indoors when its not in use. I try to get a coat of wax on it once a year. Also avoid driving on salted highways whenever possible.

Coming from an IH family love the truck ,absolutely hate the wheels. Fought those things all thru the 50s & 60s when they went away from them was a great improvement.

Really? What problem did you have with the five spokers? In almost 40 years I've never had a problem with them.

They would work loose then when you were out in soft ground and really put one in a strain they spin
and cut the valve stem . then you have a flat. Also getting the front lined up perfect takes a lot
more time than the bud wheels. Dad had 12 of the 59-65s running at one time. learned a lot about
the 304 345 engines, could pull an engine re ring and bearing with new cam and gaskets in two days.
Still have several of the vb8s laying around here.

Interesting but no, I've never had that problem. Wish I had a 345 or 392 for a little extra power though.
