Allis 175 diesel piston

I am looking for a set of pistons for my Allis 175 . Online I find them at 4.236 but mine are 3.9 and I dont see them anywhere.

Bruce - I'm not sure I completely understand your comment. The 4.236 refers to the model of Perkins engine: 4 cylinder, 236 cubic inches. The 4.236 has a 3.875 bore x 5.000 stroke.

At tractor SN 1459, Allis changed to the 4.248 Perkins engine. That 248 cu engine has 3.975 bore X 5.000 stroke if I understand correctly.

If you are gathering parts to send to a shop to overhaul your engine that puts the responsibility for any ordering mistakes on you. If you let the shop order the parts the responsibility for mistakes is on them. Shops can often get parts at a better discount than someone off the street, so even with a parts markup for the shop it is not that much more expensive.

Hey, I bought this tractor and it has a wrist pen that is sloppy so Im trying to find new pistons for it and frame overhaul. Im not having a shop do it its just a friend so Im trying to find the pistons that I need. I buy the stuff with the ability to return it if its not right Sandwich
