My 25 gallon tank sprayer would not prime on its own.

My solution.

I think my problems are caused by using primatol that turned into a white pudding.

When I get the tank empty, I plan to flush out the sprayer with water.

Try just sticking the nozzle (wand) into the liquid & lock it in the spray position & let it run. It has primed itself for me in the past.

When you changed the pickup to the drain port, did you ditch the filter on the end of pickup tube?

If it had one.

My similar 15 gallon sprayer will develop a latex like skin pieces that plugs the screen filter. When output slows down I have to pull the pickup line out thru the top and whack the end to fling the stuff off of the filter.

My 25 gallon has a filter like a washing machine in the hose connection. It will plug up and it doesn't take much to stop the flow. I carry a spare and just replace if it acts up.
