Massey Ferguson 65mk1

Hi all,first time poster here.. I have a Massey Ferguson MK1,,,Hydraulic oil was low,no problems at all with Hydraulics or transmission,,so decided it was a good time to change oil and Filter...drained oil and removed side plates (pto lever on one ,dipstick on the other side.....I have a good view of pump and there in NO Filter....Ive asked a few tractor mechanics and I Know by the way they look at me they think i am blind....Im looking for a spin off canister with an element inside. They have even shown me the filter cartridge..Please does anyone know if the early models didnt have a filter.......

The early 35 models didnt have any hydraulic pump inlet
screen, good chance the 65 didnt either.

My '58 MF65 has a filter but when my son first brought it home the filter had fallen off and was down beside the pump. The pump on my '57 MF 50 did not have a filter.
