Just wondering how the farmers in the flooded areas a coming along. Been cleaning the fields of logs and trash or isnt it dry enough yet? Can you all get anything planted or is it to late. Sure enough feel sorry for them folk.

I was out around Iowa City on Sunday and saw evidence of several acres that had been freshly planted. I assume that they planted soybeans. If the frost holds off long enough, those farmers might still get a crop.

I also noticed several fields still under water. Not much hope there.

There's still a lot of flooding on the Des Moines river below Red Rock dam. We had 4" rains in a couple of places before the weekend that drained into the Des Moines river. It's down from what it was but still out of it's banks as of Sunday.
