the last time we had average rainfall where I live, I was in the third grade. I am now a sophomore at college.

THe newspaper said that upstate SC is going to be declared a federal disaster area because of the drought.

It is as dry here as it was wet in Iowa a couple months ago.

But we dont get much attention in the media.

back home they start claiming drought, right before they raise water rates.

Here in Ga. we were asked to heavily reduce water consumption. We did, and were just notified our rates were going up due to loss of revenue. Duh

Here in Ohio it was pretty wet , but now it hasn't rained for a month I'd guess.

Feast or famine apparently.

Here in NY we have had something like 4 days without rain since June. Its tough to harvest in the rain...

Same here in Michigan. One storm after another but the amounts of rain kept getting less and less everytime til it quit altogether. Seemed like about two days time we went from good green pastures to the cows kicking up dust in parched brown stubble.
