A 10% price increase coming on tires next month????

The SC needs newer matched rear tires, Priced locally, $400 each for tire and tube, unmounted! Wow. He said a second increase this year is coming next month--10%!!.

if that is a 36" or 38" and for a Firstone or any other decent tire, you better get while the can. My distributor is real short on tires right now and that is cheaper than my cost on a Firstone tire, and is close to what I would have to pay for a Harvest King,...wholesale.

Put a new set of 8 ply 18.4X38 GoodYear Dura torques on the 1066 last week. $570 each plus mounting. Firestone bias 23 degrees would have been $780. Seems Firestone is pretty proud of their tires. They only had 4 GY's left. Said the next shipment would be 10% higher.

Sorry, I forgot to say they were 12.4 x 38 either Firestone or GDYR, he didn't which, I assumed either as I specified that.

If he will sell you either tire for that price with a tube, you better buy them now, that is a very reasonable price, considering that is below my cost on Goodyear, and half my cost on Firestone tires.
