O/T motorcycle manuals

Boy and I picked up a 1976 Honda 360 today. It had sat for 2-4 years in a guys shed and he sold it cheap because he knew the boy was into old Honda bikes. Well of course it needs a good bit of TLC but we did get it to run. Filled the cylinders with ATF because it was very stiff. But it has carb problems and ignition problems, I had to hot wire it because the ignition switch is bad. Any how I'm looking for a place to find manuals for motorcycles any body know where to look. Sure would be nice if Chilton or I-T made them

I used to have old Clymer's paperback manuals for my old Suzuki's. Not sure they print now. Sure would think Honda shop could get one, but might be pricey. I would check epay, that is where I sold mine, they were from 70's. That was a popular bike, should be plenty around.

Cleaning the carbs is job one. Jap bikes with their multiple carbs have small jets, etc. They just cannot take sitting.

I've got an old CL 360 I'm working on right now too. I've got a Clymer manual- only one I could find. The points are a dual point set up and are pretty cashy new. The carbs have a jet in the bottom of them that clogs easy. If you need some info let me know and I can look it up for you. I've got a card of a guy in WI that specializes in this era Jap bikes He's got all sorts of NOS and used parts. I'll email it to you if I find it.

Here ya go. After you select the manual and type in the scramble code, you can right click and save it to your HD (93+/- MB)

Good Luck,

Be careful, there was a recall on the 360s- not sure of the year- but some had a problem causing the cam chain to saw (or cut) through the engine case. I have a few of the 360s. Nice little fuel sipper.

A good parts house could order you a Clymers, Haynes or Chilton manual. The library may have a repair manual also. Those are pretty simple to work on though. You will figure it out. also go to www.bikez.com., A discussion forum on Honda 360. I Googled Honda 360 for that site.

Honda cam chain problems? Some early 70s models had manual cam chain tensioners that were ignored by rider until they jumped sprocket- this was owner negligence. Honda put in some automatic tensioners to correct the problem- 450s, 325s need checking. 305 was easier to get at for manual adjust since engine leaned forward a bit. RN
