Speaking of Christmas

I would like to urge all of you with children in your lives to buy them tools for gifts. I have done this with my three kids since day one. A tool for x-mas and one for birthday. It is my hopes that by the time they are old enough to use them they will know how and respect their abilities. Teaching them how to use tools and use them properly is a gift they will have forever and hopefully they will leave yours alone.

Agree 100% BUT...... I tried that with my 3 daughters in their late teens. Bought them mini-lites with holster and basic screw-driver sets, etc.. When they left after Christmas, I found them still in their wrappers in their rooms. It's easier to call Dad to fix something. LOL

I still have and use the S-K 1/2 inch socket set my dad got me for Christmas about 45 years ago. Have only lost one socket, about 10 yrs ago, and managed to find an exact replacement at a garage sale. Nice link to the past when I use them. One suggestion- get high quality tools, not Chinese junk, so they can use them for life.
