Replace ignition cylinder

Im having trouble with my ignition switch on my diesel international. Can i just pick up a cheap one on Ebay or am i better off going with IH dealer?

You wouldn"t waste MUCH valuable Forum space by telling us the unit"s model number and the cost of the part from the dealer vs. the alternate part cost (with shipping)!

if it just a on off like my 500 crawler or my b414 has ih wants like 20.00 for it. i got a 6.00 one from O reilly auto parts and it was in a nasc car box with a key. now if its a combo switch like on the 66 or 86 siries you need orginal type from ih or a&i

Thanks. Case dealer wants $98.00 part#1271716C1. Im wondering if i can use one from kubota? $25.00 with key.

replaced 1/2 dozen or so for different friends on different makes always get a universal switch from napa or oriely about $12.00
