this is my first john deere iv have owned i have run many on my grandfather farm but this is my first it come with alot of parts new gril screans switch complet 800 801 3point hitch with bolt on center quick link hows it look

First tractor or first Deere? Congrat's either way, looks pretty good. Does it have power steering? If not, you might try turning the front wheels around. When I was a kid, and we had to drive in the mud, we would turn the front wheels out like yours so they wouldn't ball up and slide. Turned them back around when it got dry. Have fun, be safe. Chris

Always had a soft spot for the old 60. 1st tractor I ever drove by myself.
Great find with the entire 800 series hitch. Is the upper link bracket a Hoxy Hitch?
Any other options such as PS and live pto?
There are some decent aftermarket fenders out there too now.

Odds are there is a couple of compression relief cocks hidden under the grease at the front of the block.

Looks pretty good. I have a 70 gas and it has been a good tractor. Just bought it last year. I had to pay $450 for an 801 hitch because mine only came with thr hydraulic cylinder and draw bar.You drive that bad boy home or haul it?

I got this tractor up around cleveland ohio OFF A old guy HE bought it at a tractor pull for his son cause he like the sound of it, had to haul it home it has the 800A HITCH WITH the 801 rods and loops on the side's has a 3 hole type top link cast that bolt's to the piece of equitment, yes this is my first tractor's other tractors on the farm, john deere's of my late grand father's grandmothers others are a 1945 long hood A, 1939 MODLE L ALL the ATTACHMENT'S, 1948 short hood JD A , 1955 john deere 50 power steering had the jack type has part of a 800 on it now , 1964 3020 gas 1961 2010 gas RU with loader, NONE JOHN DEERE'S ARE A 1956 FARMALL 350 DIESEL ROW CROP AND A 1946 FORd 9N, MY UNCLE HAS A 39 WC, AND he JUST sold his 1957 rice land 82o john deeere

FIRST OF NEXT YEAR GUY DOWN THE road is holding a 1941 farmall H with a farm hand loader 90% rubber tires with new snow chain's on it, its kind of ruff he want's $600 for it, it runs but been two year's since it was started cant pass it for that price.

Rich guy, lives about a mile from me, owns a JD like yours. It is in nice condition, mainly because he uses it for a fun driver.
I can hear it coming almost as soon as he starts it up. He'll pass my place looking like the King of the Hill!

i just got this tractor to do a littel farming like to paint it but the trees and briers on the sides of the hay field would just kill new paint, only thing ill proble do is get new fire stone rear tires load them re wire it get all the lighting working right
