Took these pics when I went out to start chores this afternoon. We got a couple inches of snow and it was around 10 degrees. Another winter day in IL.

Great pictures! Looks like a nice snowy landscape. Northern MN this morning was in the -30s actual air temperature. Winter is great!

Cattle obviously need some advice here. Attack the human, sieze his key, move into the house, make HIM stand out in the snow for awhile.

I too took some pictures as we went back out after lunch today
The pile of straw came from only the half of the yard away from the house.
Sorry guys, I grew up in that cold stuff in central WI. I think I will jest stay here. Should get some seat time on the 2N and bush hog tomorrow

Good Looking Cowdog. Is he an Ausralian Red Heeler? We had a female like yours and she was a heckuva a good stock dog. She saved my Dad's tail one night when he got in the pen with a Sow who turned on him. That old pig had him down on the ground in the stall trying to stomp and bite him to death , standing on his chest. Red came in from outside and grabbed that old sow by the tail and then the neck. That sow got a whole new code of conduct. That dog dined on sirloin steak that night and slept inside by the fire.

Who's that lady in the first picture between the trees on the right side about a 100 yards out there? And why aint she got no clothes on? Looks like the same lady that showed up in a couple of Allen's pictures out in the pastures, except she's dyed her hair red though, most of it. She sure does get around. Oh well, 'tis the season I guess.

mine are leaves and they are everywhere can't even walk in the yard without feeling like you are making too much noise. Guess that's what I get for being in the middle of 21 acres all by myself lol. I would like to go see the snow one Christmas but only for a couple days My birthday is Christmas day to top it off. "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" mimicking Bing Crosby

Dont let those guys fool ya. They can get out of the weather anytime they want. In the far back of the shed out of the wind I keep a area bedded down for them if they want. I was out there to put some more straw down for them. Seemed like they were more comfortable than I was out there. Wrigley the dog is a austrailn cattle dog or red heeler. He is a blast and he is enjoying the snow way more than I am.

Wrigley- great name for a friendly dog. Neighbors had two Jack Russell terriers, aptly named Wrigley and Barkley.
