OT gun question

Got a quick question. Has any one ever had a NEF rifle? I have shot a few of their single shot shotguns but never one of the rifles. There is a used .223 for sale here pretty cheap and was just wandering what the thoughts were about them on here. Just wandering if it would be worth $190 for a truck gun.

Got two - actually three NEFs. Have a .223 with a heavy barrel, fair scope - very accurate. Love it. Also have a 50cal muzzle loader barrel for it. Nice setup for muzzle loader. Also have a .410 shotgun. Love 'em all! Son has taken a deer with the .223, shortly before I kicked his butt! Did a job on the deer, though. BUY IT!
 
Real good accurate guns. I have had 2 of them, 30-30 and .223. Both were accurate and reliable and fun to shoot. not an bad pice on it either :)
 
Thanks for your time. Been looking for a truck gun since the wife claimed the mini 14 for her own (she even named the dang thing!!). Wanted a PC9, but they don't make'm no more and used ones are pretty rare, going to get more rare next week!!! Been looking for a good used bolt 223, but they are few and far between and when you find one they want as much as a new one.

Buy it now, demand is high and prices are going up.Remington owns NEF now.The 20 gauge shotgun I bought for 88.00 is now up to 117.00.NEF proved there is still a good market for single shot rifles and shotguns after the big makers dropped them.
 
I could be wrong,but Ill take a guess.Were you upset that he shot a deer with such a small caliber.I mean if you had to eat and was the only caliber you had,then do what you gotta do by all means.I have a .222cal,I know it will take out a deer but I wouldnt use it unless I had to.

Got one. It's accurate and has a good trigger pull. Most of those models do NOT have a good trigger pull and gunsmiths say they can't get a good pull, so check the trigger pull on the one you are looking at.

Best truck gun out there is the SKS - except they've doubled in price since November 8th for some reason.

The next best is the HiPoint 9mm carbine, complete with life time warranty.
