I have about 50 gallons of k1 kerosene it's been stored in a 55 gal steel drum & kept dry & out of the weather, it's about 4 or 5 years old. Is it still good to use? Thanks Dave F.

You better beleive it is.If you want to check for water just use a pump with a pickup pipe that will reach to just above the bottom of the drum.Pump a qt.glass jar full and set it in the sun.If there is any water you will see it,the kerosene will seperate from the water and float to the top.If you see water just use the pump to get the water out.I doubt that you will have any problem with it.

I just bought some K1 last night, it's $3.79 a gallon here in Highland, IL.
(30 miles East of St. Louis, Mo.)

50 gal @ $3.79 = $189.50, make sure your barrel doesn't develope a leak!

You did not say what you were using the K1 in, if it's in a heater I can't for see a problem .But personally I would not use in diesel engine might have algae in it
