Am I the only one that cant stand this dork?

I have never liked his music and still thinks he sucks. Cant watch the super bowl 1/2 time show.

I wish I had his money though.
 
Whole lotta whoop! Bunch of over paid athletes, far too much worship. Springsteen didn't impress me either.
 
I'm not a football fan, but then a lot of football fans don't like NASCAR...so we're even.

I understand the Bud Shootout is gonna be on Saturday night at 8 EST on FOX...so life DOES get better, 'cause I'd rather listen to DW than Rusty any day.
 
I could deal with the fact that he is a New Jersey abundant, but that crazy dancing and what not is just a joke. SOmeone needs to remind him he is a 50 something grown man. Take the earrings out of your ears and stand there and sing..
 
I've always thought BS was a phony and have never liked his music or his politics. Last fall when I read he was going to do the Super Bowl I emailed the NFL and told them of my displeasure at such a partisan being feted at one of the few National non partisan events. This was just after one of his free concerts for external_link.
When I did not hear back from them after 2 weeks I wrote to them again and told them I would boycott the Halftime Show and do my darndest to convince others to do likewise. I haven't heard back from them yet...
 
He's perfect for the super bowl, long on marketing short on substance. Most of his songs are basicly one note beaten to death. How he became rich and famous is a mystery to me.
 
You overestimate the intelligence of the music-buying public...BUT...in Springsteen's defense, his music WAS listenable when the alternative was disco. Unimaginative, but listenable.
 
I'd rather that it was the Boss singing, and not Hip-Hop, or Rap. (which it sounds like but the first letter's missing) I get more insulted but the so called "professional" athletes. Just about every line man has a belly sticking out a he$$ of a lot further than their chests are, and they look winded after a few plays.
 
I ain't never carried for his music. I could have thought of many better choices for half time show. ZZ Top would've been great.
 
I make my wife mad when I tell her that these folks who DO get selected on shows like American Idol "can't sing a note."

What I mean is, they can All sing a "run," all around a note, but apparently nobody these days can sing the actual notes, as they were originally written.
 
Sorry guys I like Bruce he gave the audience what they wanted. No singer sounds as good live as they do on a CD, tape or what you guys remember which would be an LP.

I would rather see him than Timberlake and Jackson.

It doesn't seem like you guys would be satisfied with any one.

Who would you want to see at half time there, Brittany Spears???? I don't think so!!

Who cares if he is 50 what's wrong with that?? How old do you think Willy Nelson is??

I think the 1/2 time worked out real well. It landed right on 7:00 p.m. here in Missouri so I got to flip over to RFD TV and watch Merle Haggard instead on Hee Haw.

Hee Haw might be a little dorky, but my wife and I grew up watching it on Saturday nights and I can handle the lame chokes better than I can Bruce. But, that's what makes the world go round!

Springsteen still rules. Springsteen has said his role model is Willy Nelson, 70 something, still going out and making music 200 nights a year. And yeah, he has a lot of money. He bought a good piece of his hometown, where he still lives.
 
i didn't even watch it, doesn't sound like i missed anything, if it aint got a motor it aint a sport, dont care for BS either even when he was popular, now if gretchen wilson was out there id probably tune in
 

Springsteen is a jerk. His music is OK, butr when I think about the jerk (and an anti-American jerk, at that) behind the voice the sond is runined. It makes me sick to see so many non-thinking libtards worship the putz.
 
Can't remember the song but it was country and a verse went " who's gonna fill their shoes when they're gone, George and Johnny,Waylon and Willie and don't forget ole Merle ". How true those words are . I think even country music has gone too rock the last decade or so except for Allen Jackson.
 
I heard on the radio a few years ago, that despite all his songs were about the working man, and punching the time clock etc, he never had a 'real' job in his whole life. Thought that was amusing. -Mike
 
Do'nt believe everything you read or hear. Its true his wife ( airline hostess) did support him as he was trying to get his carrea going but he had the same dead-end jobs alot of us experinced in our younger days.
 
I'm not a big fan of him myself. My only comment is to watch out if you are a camera man, Springstein managed to slide right into one during the show.

I thought Bruce would do a better job. I almost popped in the tape of Prince from a couple of years ago. Now that is talent, even if you don't like him, he is the best. Maybe Prince and Junior Brown could battle in a guitar dual....

There are some young performers that can sing, but there is no way Taylor Swift and Hanna Montanna should make over a dollar a year for their singing......

Why in the world would a guy singing a few songs on tv get you guys so worked up? And why is that the ones who have the most negative things to say are the ones that have the most problem with spelling? Two thoughts. 1- Find out how to use spell check. 2- This is a tractor forum, keep it that way.
 
Missed the whole thing. I was at the gun range getting ready for a up comming slug only wild pig hunt in Sonoma County on Corp of Engineer land. On the 50 yard range my first slug hit 2 inches high and 1 inch left. The kid next to me was banging away with a double stack 9MM. I shot my next round and realized someone had been shooting my target, it had like nine 9 MM hits. Mr 9 MM was the suspect. I got on his case for shooting my target. At first he apologized, then said he hit his target, all shots accounted for. I discovered I fired a 00 Buck at my target, not a slug. I walked away knowing it is not impossible for me to make mistakes, and I have a lot of respect for 00 buck.
 
Taylor Swift can sing quite well, she just needs to get her promotors to quit pushing her to sell teenie bopper style songs. She has a good voice. She also needs to be less glamorous. Send Kelly Pickler my way anyday! That a fun chick that can sing, and isnt a little princess.
 
Being a bit of a geezer myself, I watched him do a vigorous physical routine, without breaking a sweat, and wondered how old he is. Checked on Wilipedia- said he was born in 1939 (making him 69 years old), and also said he had married Barrack external_link at a bar mitzvah somewhere. Beware the dangers of relying on Wikipedia. Today its corrected- he's 59, and the external_link marriage seems to have vanished. Never cared much for his music, but he gets around pretty well for an old guy. Or even a young guy.
 
There was a blue collar bar near me and once in a while Springsteen would come in and order a beer.An apprentice I work with tried to go over and talk to Bruce about four body guards would block anyone from actually going near him.But Im sure in his mind he was out drinking with his working class buddies.It was a big farce.My hero is Jay Springsteen now that guy could ride a motorcycle.
 
Rusty and his son should be outlawed from ever being on TV,they are both terrible,Kenny is the only Wallace worth anything.
 
The game was very good although I wanted the Cardinals to win. I'm an old Raider fan....
Springsteen was puke in my mind...tough old buzzard with very little talent left, but he's got a following...hope they're happy.
