Looking for an opinion

Purchased a pair of Massey fenders at the start of December from a wrecker in Alberta who posted them to Toronto around the same time. They got lost at Winnepeg but have now been found and re-directed to the original destination, they havent arrived yet. Is this a typical time to post something like fenders fron the west to the east of Canada or should I be getting worried?
Thanks
Bill

Depends on who is telling you they have been found and posted to the proper address. I personally think it's time to make some inquiries.

I had UPS send some parts from Omaha to Jefferson City, Mo through Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Denver. Took a while.

Bill: How were they shipped? I shipped a rear rockshaft for a Farmall Super A Southern ON to Alberta via Canada Post, it took 8 days. I forget the details, however if it's over certain weight and size Canada Post farm it out to a courier.

Regardless of shipper, I think they should travel from Alberta to TO, under 10 days. But then there is the ocasional shipment travels around Canada, sinilar to Steve's discription of US geography.

I once sent a parcel from London ON to IL via Canada Post and US mail, took them 10 days. I could have walked there faster and delivered by hand. It's been quite cold across western Canada, may be they shipped via wheelbarrow.

I'd be worrying by now. Then again, last year I got a letter my great-aunt sent from Northern Ireland in 2005. In the meantime she had died.

nothing against Canada Post, but they take forever to get anything anywhere... Most mail takes 5-6 working days for get anywhere (for me anyway, i can get letters to the UK or NZ just as quick as i can from Toronto (i live in Manitoba). On the same note, had a hydraulic part shipped from the UK to me for one of my tractors, it sat for 10days in Toronto because and i quote " the delivery address was incorrect", it was my address and it was correct, but they said it didn't exist... won't use that courier again (DHL)...
See if you can get the tracking number for the item, it might help locate it so at least you know where it might be

I never understand the postal system. I could send a letter from Nam to Texas and it got home in four days. From Florida to Texas took a eight days.

Got a empty carton from Canada Post asking what was originally in the carton.Told them a tractor part from the usa. They said they were sorry and thats it. Cost more to insure the parcel than the whole tractor was worth.
