Yeah, I really like living up here in the hills. Especially in the wintertime. :>(

Darned temp is just right to make 'er really slick and I made it about 60 feet before the pickup tried to roll on 'er side into that gorge.

Figured I'd better just quit while I still had a pickup.

Guess the cows will have to tend fer themselves today.

Thought about putting on that new set of chains I bought a year ago..........yeah, they're 15 miles out at the farm too. :>)

All we got here was two days of wind...over 60MPH at times. No trash cans left in town. Less that two inches moisture in 5 months in Eastern Colorado.

Ah come on Allen just lock them thar hubs in and STAND ON it . Oh and a good set of Tares will help. If ya want hills come on over i'll show ya some prime farm ground that we farm on and when ya are in the cab of the combine ya keep the cab door open and on the uphill side just in case ya need a bail out .

Send some here, still got some snowplows on and have 60 tons of ice melt. Man I hate looking at bags of ice melt in July. Oh well, we'll use them in Nov-Dec.

I keep telling you all that you've got to have at least three of everything if your doing this farm/ranch buisness, one in the truck strategicly located at the very bottom generally frozen down or covered in at least 6" of last years wheat seed thats well ripened into a stinking mass, one at the house that you cant locate until at least three days after you need it,and another at the farm hanging nicely on a hook in plain sight that for whatever reason you cant get to whenever you need it!then and only then are you doing it correctly!!now if you mess up and buy four of anything, thats a sure fired guarantee at least two will be broken at any given time, avoid buying four at all costs.

Allan, I have been trying to locate you and have asked several people what your email address is or some other way to locate you. I've tried implement alley and the IH group to no avail. Jerry

Hey, Allan, at least you have some nice moisture, that is unless the Chinook winds evaporate it. At least no repairs, yet. I have to repair a universal joint on a 3ph post hole digger tomorrow that I broke after one one hole.

And no tractors at the house? What about that little IHC you bought for the wife to mow grass with? Surely it would have enough UUMPH to help guide you onto more solid ground.

At least you had enough sense to quit while you were ahead. Many of us just keep trying until it is too late.

I was going to make some wisecrack myself about a Ford pickup, but in all seriousness have ever considered putting a winch on it? Looks to me you have plenty of trees around the yard at least. DOUG
