I Told Them Not To get Stuck!

CPS came about noon today to spread fertilizer. I told them it was still kinda wet, and not to get too close to the water holes. Wasted my breath. Oh, well, they brought a tractor to pull him out, I didn't have anything big enough. Driver said, sorry about the ruts. I told him if it didn't dry out enough for me to fill them in, I wouldn't be able to plant it anyway. I really can't holler too loud, I've been buried in there myself. I just got smart enough to stay out of there. Of course, the boss just had to be standing there watching it all. Chris

Now why is when some folks get "stuck" they sink in about 18" and that's it. When I get stuck, it's always straight down and out of sight. Grrrr.

I've driven a floater for 30 years and I have been stuck my share, but it was always those surprise holes that you couldn't see or didn't know were there. It's so wet here I wouldn't dream of letting anyone near the fields with anything other than an ATV to survey the field conditions.
