At about 8:00 PM this evening, Interstate 80 between York and Lincoln, Nebraska was so overloaded with traffic some of the traffic was diverted off the Interstate onto parallel two lane highways.
That stretch is slated to become six lanes in several years. When the planning for six lanes first surfaced, I was quoted in print as saying they may as well go eight lanes right now, because they'll be doing it in ten years anyway.
