Velociter Wireless?

We got a advertisement in the mail for Velociter Wireless Internet. Because of where we live, we're pretty much stuck with dial-up or pay up for Hughes which is not only pricey, but from what I hear, not all that reliable.
Is anyone familiar with Velociter? How's the price, performance, etc.? The mailer sounds purty good.

I use a verizon USB Cell modem. My cell phone gets 2 bars at my house. Cellular speed is great compared to dialup it may even beat a low speed DSL connection. Price is kinda high 59.95 per month with 5 gig data transfer limit per month. I've never heard of the service you listed.

Cellular will only get better and they are not launching any new satelites for hughes.

I just looked at their web site,and if
they provide what they advertise ,it would
be great service.

I have a local wireless service here for the
same money but less speed. They are saying
2 meg speed,what I have is less than 1 meg
and it works quite well.

Just becuase you have cell service does not mean you have G3 wireless broadband available.

Verizon put in some new cell towers hear me recently but did not equip them with broadband service.

Sounds similar to what I have. You mount a panel on your house that points at a tower within so many miles.

Works great, way faster than dialup.

Im paying $35 a month for 1meg/sec up and 1.5meg/sec download speeds which can be doubled for another $10 per month.
