hustler 295 ztr brake drum removal help

i have this old hustler 295 ztr mower. one of the hydraulic fittings on the rt drive motor broke. i need to get the motor off to replace the fittings, but cannot get the brake drum off the motor shaft. removed the big nut and have been heating, beating and pulling. it wont budge. any suggestions? here is a pic

I've found you need to heat the entire drun to get the middle to expand.. Get it hot then take a BFH to the wheel puller. Those are mounted on a taper, and they can be a bear to get off.

thanks dave, i wasnt sure if i was missing something and didnt want to do more damage than i had to. i'll give er a whirl!!! thanks again!!
