Well kruser wanted to know if I was going to have to hoe hoe hoe my corn, well no, I was planting beans when that storm came up monday afternoon. We got between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain in about 30 minutes.



We havent been able to finish planting corn, still have 80 to plant but it was way to wet to even try monday so we started on beans.

With the rain and the delay in planting again, today I started getting things ready to mow and bale hay. Baler looks nice all freshly washed.


The 4520, pressed into service because everything else is still committed to getting the crops in.


The 3020, still a mess from taking care of the cattle in the mud.


I have spent a fair amount of time running around checking the crops. So far, even with planting in much less than ideal conditions and continued wet weather, the crops look very good all things considered.



Bought this 4 wheeler at an auction last weekend. Seemed like between running around looking at crops and and checking cows we needed a third four wheeler. So far it is working out nice, 5 years old and 350 miles so it hasnt seen much use.
I sure hope everyone else is getting along better than we are here. Everything is a battle. When it gets almost dry enough to really do something we get 1 or 2 inches of rain. We have unplanted corn that is getting critical, beans to plant, hay needs cut and baled, never did get the manure hauled and the earlier planted corn needs sprayed now. I dont remember planting this late and hope not to have to do it ever again. It is very wet still today and rain is in the forecast saturday, sunday and monday so if we can do anything at all this week it may be pretty touch and go but I hear there are folks south of us here in IL who are worse off than we are. I hate to think about that.

How do you like the track type tractor compared to the four wheel drive tire type tractors?

Oh my Gawd! you got poo all over the tires and tractor you're gonna have to scrap the whole thing it will never clean up

You have a very nice condition 3020 and 1209 haybine. Most 1209's i've seen have been left out and abused beyond recognition, no wonder they don't bring any money. Yours would be worth around 3500, that's what I sold my original for.

Good looking equipment; well maintained.

Yep, be sure to give Wrigley a pat from me too. I had to have Buddy put to sleep Friday night. Vet figures it was a tumor on the brain. He was only sick a couple days and he was gone. It's been a rough week without him.

Hope you like that 4 wheeler as much as I like mine. It's the only one I have ever owned and the only one I will ever own. I have cut down some pretty good sized trees and pull them with it. That motor won't quit and that gear driven transmision will not slip. If you hook on to something to big it will dig 4 holes in the ground and bury itself trying. I tried to move a limb once and couldn't get traction so I put 3 200 pound people on the 4 wheeler. Once it got started you couldn't hardly tell it was pulling anything. That step through design is quit handy as well.
