Finally cut some decent hay.

Got to one of the fields I hay yesterday, very low ground, lots of clay, usually has standing water in a couple spots that I must avoid, well no standing water and dry as a bone but the alfalfa must have some good roots, nice and heavy in about 75 percent of the field, no where near the yield I would normally get but made me very happy to actually see a windrow behind the haybine, supposed to storm here tonight so I figured this mowing may persuade it to rain:>)

There's 2 tings that will bring the rain for sure. Cut your hay, and order fuel. Hay is worthn a couple days worth, but fuel is good for 2 weeks of rain.

It seems like whenever we order fuel to get some work done, the clouds roll in and we get 2 weeks of rain that keeps us out of the feilds. After that we're fine for a little while.
