Finder Extinctions

Someone in the photo ads is looking for a set of "finder extinctions" for a John Deere 80.

...Fender extensions, that is.

Funny part is, spellcheck wouldn't find anything wrong with "finder extinctions."

My favorite concept is 'descent' tires or sheet metal. This seems to imply that you would have one set of tires or sheet metal for going uphill and one for going down. This could be a way to create more jobs by having tire shops at the tops and bottoms of all hills. Another term I have seen on Craigslist is 'farm tracker'. This would seem to be a person or thing which tracks farms, a relatively easy task, one would suppose, since they usually stay put for the most part.

Nothing wrong with the spelling of those words- but spell checker doesn't figure out if you've used the wrong words, just if the words you used are spelled wrong. Makes for some interesting errors if all you do with a document is correct per spell checker. "six" often gets a different vowel, for instance.

Well, now you got me started. "Cummins" is not spelled with a "g", A "Super C" only has one "p" (supper is an evening meal), there is a "console" on a late-model 4020 (counsel is something you serve on at church) and "breaks" won't stop your tractor. I'm probably gonna regret that.

Don't get all consumed with regret, but counsel is something you seek from someone who knows better than you. A council is what you sit on at church, to provide counsel and guidance.

Myself, I go a little nuts when I read that someone has been given "free reign" to do something.
