I heard a bunch of hype about a new 8n. So I check out the New Holland 8n site but it won't load. The local dealer has no information about them either. I thought it was to be on sale by now? Anybody know anything or own one? I suppose it's on hold just like the auto industry.

"It"s just a regular Boomer with expensive 8N lookalike tin work."

Better make that "plastic work"!

haha that makes me chuckle. i didnt know they were making new 8n"s. Now if only they could make the JD 20 series and the olivers and molines again!!!

What could be prettier than this????????

Love that picture...

Ask them if they went to the Orlando meeting where they introduced it. They gave out toy models of the Boomer 8N. There is literature at most of the dealers I have been to.

I think www.8N.com is the website.

Iffn the new one won't load, It's just like an old one! J/K, LOL, lighten up. It costs about 5 grand more than its worth, and its made overseas! Pretty soon, they'll call it a john deere!

It's cute, looks like it should be chugging along and talking on a cartoon. It would appeal to some for sure.If I needed a Boomer and they were the same price,I may select the new 8N,but I imagine it comes with quite a premium which I wouldn't pay, quite a conversation piece though, thanks for the link to the pics.

I saw one of them a last weekend on display with the others. Red and gray. I didn't go up to it cause wasn't really interested, and there were a bunch of fellas trying to get there pictures taken with it. That one was all wheel drive and I saw diesel injectors. From what I saw, I wasn't lookin to buy anyway and didn't. Have no idea what one goes for. Heck, first thing I did was glance around for one wearing blue New Holland sheet metal to see which one they retro fitted with kind of old style sheet metal. Probably a nice tractor, heck I don't know. There is such a critter though. I did kind of see one.

I guess, to each his or her own. If you buy one, good luck, enjoy, use it safely.

I have to say its a good marketing ploy, Looks sharp.

I have a 33hp boomer for a lawn mower and I love that thing. No not for 30 grand either but used they are very reasonable in price. It is a very capable little thing for its size. Works great on the box blade too. It starts easy in the winter when you need an auger tractor and doesn't take up much room in the shed. Its low to the ground so its easy to get on and off of once you disconnect the stupid seat switch.

I would describe it as the "ugly duckling". You take on look and wonder what the heck am I going to do with this... but once you use one they are very handy you just have to realize its only a little tractor.

Unless it's status has changed recently I beleive it was on hold but there were certainly enough models built up to do the show circuit this past winter.
I saw one at the local farm mech show.

What nobody has mentioned so far is that it is a Boomer compact, but a boomer with one very critical difference... the Boomer 8N has a CVT (continously variable transmission).
As far as I know it's assembled in Georgia from ISM components shipped in japan.

This 8N will no doubt work circles around the original and be more efficient in doing it... but there's a big price difference I'm sure.
