I got a fella drove in today, from brownwood-texas all the way to my ranch in northern alberta(3700 ml one way)to pick up an old D7-E cat engine he bought from me.
That's one he!l of a drive to get an old engine.
He said he could'nt find any in the US.

He came with a smaller SUV with a 16'carhauler,I'm afraid that 5000 lb engine is gonna make it grunt all the way back to Texas. I hope he gets there safe and sound.

He really must have needed that engine! (or maybe he just needed a vacation from "the Mrs.")
LOL to that good old boy!

Hope he makes it. That's a heck of a load for a small SUV.

A couple of months ago, I was driving down I-80 with my cruise set on 75 when some dork towing a Camaro on a toter with an S10 Blazer PASSED me. Right after he passed me, the slip stream from an 18 wheeler caught him and he lost it. He didn't hit anything and didn't roll it, but he slid sideways down the median for a couple hundred yards.

Some guys just don't have any sense when it comes to towing.

There are several sod farms in our area (we lease some land to one of them) and we are always seeing dinky little Harbor Freight trailers with boat trailer tires blown out and axles torn up within 2 or 3 miles of the pickup point. They will load them down with rolls of grass without regard to the weight and inevitably don't make it far.

A local fellow was killed recently after losing control of a pickup towing a trailer hauling sand for his kids' sandbox.

What do you want to bet he loaded all the sand in the back of the trailer so it would be easy to unload?
