Question for James Howell

James,
I am having a hard time getting the knife holders to bend down.Got any tricks for these aftermarket beauties.They are about 1/8 inch off the back of the knife and makes quite a bit of noise when running.I beat on them with a hammer.Maybe I need a bigger one.

One thing I've learned along life's pathway is to always have a disclaimer.

Disclaimer: This is one way of many possible ways to bend down a knife holder.

Position the knife so that the tip of the knife holder is between two sections.

Take a pipe wrench and tighten it down on the tip of the knife holder.

The pipe wrench handle needs to be above the cutter bar so that you pull/push the pipe wrench downward.

This will bend down the tip of the knife holder.

Sorry I don't have any photos of using this method; maybe I'll take some next weekend.
