Farmall 140 Hydraulic oil mystery

I had a Farmall cub that used to leak hydraulic oil into the engine oil because of bad o-rings at the pump. My 140 hydraulic tank is running try over time and I do not see any external leaks. Does the 140 suffer from the same o-ring problem as my Cub did. Can it be possible that my 140 hydraulic fluid is leaking into my engine? Thanks----

Looks like you've already got your problem figured out. All of the offset Farmalls will leak their hydraulic oil into the engine if the seal in the pump goes. You may just be able to replace the seal but you may need to put a speedi-sleeve on the shaft if it's grooved. Sam

Thanks Sam. I change the engine oil regular in the 140 and it does take some time for the hydro tank to get low. Can I just leave it alone without causing any harm and just fill the hydro tank when I need to? I don't like playing around with the solid hydro lines on these Farmalls at all.
