Mowed wed afternoon to kill sprouts

Have always read mow in august dark of the moon kills sprouts and prenienal weeds. The old farmers almanack said wed afternoon till thursday noon was the time. Rained hard used the CD with 3 point the old girk ran well. Now to watch if sprouts really die. Brother suggested I wear alumium foil hat while mowing, however due to rain and having been on tractor (mag john deere G) when lighting hit the raised planter marker and killed the tractor I declined.

Hope it work's better for you than it did for me. Worked my tail off one August, temperature about 100 degrees. Every one sprouted back with a vengeance. Still a believer in moon signs though. Most do really work.
