They made good progress on the new building at the Antique Engine and Tractor Association grounds in Geneseo, Ill.last week. There are 2 slide shows on the website right now, more to come. Visit us at www.ae-ta.com
I arrived late Saturday morning and they were installing end wall panels. I helped set up scaffolding by the porch and then we started covering it with 3/4 tongue and groove. Another crew started framing in the east wall and installing windows. The Timber Framers started putting on roof panels. It is an impressive building, it's very interesting to be a part of the construction, even a small part. Chris

I hope the wife & I can make it to the show and see everything first hand. Looks good.
Thanks for the pictures.

I've enjoyed the photos, that type of building is just something to appreciate, also nice to see a project move right along, and it looks like an expensive one at that.

Looks like they have made use of the telehandler with a jib and what looks to be around a 50 ton cherry picker, to erect the frame and other components, + those manlifts are just ideal for getting access to high places, really productive even though they can be costly to rent for a job.

Best of luck, looks like she will be closed in and occupied well in advance of winter which is always a good thing !

I enjoyed the photos too ! We hope to attend that show sometime. Please continue posting !!

I TOO enjoy your pictures ... Do keep posting as it's been built ... looks like it's coming together ...

Lookin good Chris! Thanks for the updates.
Video shows a lot of work in a short period of time - even with inclement weather. Plan on being there with or without tractor.
You going to Half Century Of Progress?
