Cash rent dilema

I cash rent a 5 acre patch behind a house next to my place. The young couple are going through a divorce. He has moved out and I assume new man moved in (different truck there now). I checked with the online records of the county and both names are still on the property. In the past I have always just wrote his name on the rent check. This year I plan on writing both their names with a large AND in between them. Is there any other pitfalls to look out for?
 
I would talk to one of them and feel things out. Some times things like this are smooth and no big deal, some times you could be walking into a hornet's nest you will not be able to run away from fast enough.

knock on the door and ask to talk to her. you may have to wright two checks. be nice and let them know you want rent next year. david
 
Absolutely! You do not want new boyfriend to suspect you are his replacement standing at the door, waiting to be punched out.
 
That's a good'n!! That would be a pitfall!!

The "newness" of the new man may run out again by springtime.
