Because my daughter is in ffa & they want her to wear the offical dress which is a skirt& FFA jacket every monday
 
this is right off the FFA site


Black skirt - Skirt is to be at least knee length, hemmed evenly across the bottom, with a slit no longer than 2 inches above the knee, excluding the kick pleat
White collared blouse & Official FFA blue scarf
Black dress shoes with a closed heel and toe (no boots, sandals, open-toed shoes, tennis shoes, )
Black nylon hosiery
Official FFA jacket zipped to the top.
Black Slacks may be appropriate for traveling and outdoor activities.

As far as I know he lived, but was hurt very badly. That was a very long fall. There was another incident as well, I think involving a gal.
 
At the local fair the FFA boys were told that they did not need to wear the jacket because of the 100+ heat that day. The same person who told them that took points away from them for not wearing the Jacket. Talk about a bunch of mad kids.

The kid that fell at the mall is now in acoma and in pretty bad shape, I'm the president of the University of Wyoming's collegiate chapter (ran a lot different than HS) and another one of our officer's knows him personally, we are putting a fundraiser together to help pay for hospital bills.
 
Yup. Black slacks were very common in my day, but the skirt was 'official'.
