Had some time to kill during a vet visit so was able to get a couple pics.
Snow's all gone now.
Red one is Jack and the black is Snooker. Hoping to get a litter of pups from them this spring.

Dave,

They remind me a lot of an English Shepherd that I had 60 years ago. Are those breeds related? I never see anything about English Shepherds.

The second/bottom picture looks like a Hovawart. I have one here and other than a little nore white on yours they look alike. The one I have is a working dog. He loves to be touched and leans on anyone that will let him. Very lovable and loyal. He herds cattle without any training. Just seems to know what to do.

Pretty much the same dog........ My X-FIL had an English Sheperd that was more like a person than an animal. Seemed to know what you were saying and would work for anyone. I saw someone with some dogs that looked like him a few years ago and they were Australian Sheperds. They just happened to have some puppies and I got my best girl (aside from the wife) the next day. Their like lay's potatoe chips, can't have just one
The make up and crosses to get the two breeds are about the same though.

A neighbor has a Hovawart and it's hard to tell the difference in them and ours.

Dave,

Thanks for the reply. Don't have any cattle to herd anymore, so I guess I won't get one of either.

Have a Happy New Year.
