When DId You Join this Site?

Just wondering when everyone joined this site. I think it was started back 97 but I've only been on here for about a two years. Dont know what I'd do without this place. Helps me with problems and is educational and entertaining at the same time.

I don't rightly remember. I'm guessing 4 years or more. Could be wrong. Beats the heck out of AM radio for entertainment though, don't it?

I have been following it for over 3 years now but did not contribute before Thanksgiving of 2008. Any of the sites I am on I like to observe for a while before I post.
I really did not have time for the Net till a few years ago when I made a job change and now I am underemployed.

Iv been on here since November 07 but just joined December 09,. I dident think I could post pics without being a member. Took me a while to learn how to post pics, than I figured out It wasent me, It takes the computer about 28 minutes on dial-up to upload. So I would be just sitting here thinking it wasent doing anything, but turns out it was uploading the image, veeeeeeeeeery slowely. Its a great forum.

Dont know exactly when I started coming here. I do remember my Dad stopping by to look at some ads before he passed away in 99. That said, I would guess since a year or 2 before that. Remember Hugh coming here and thinking what a great addition he was. Met a lot of nice people here over the years and have bought and sold and done quite a bit of hauling through this site. Site seems to be taking on a new personality lately...although it could just be me....I don't know. All in all, pretty good people here.

I think I have been on here since maybe 98 or99. I think I joined maybe 2000 or 2001 not sure. Very good site for information of just about any kind. Len

been on here for about 6 years ,joined may of 2008 ,never posted anything until a couple years ago,I live in NW Wisconsin.

I want to say I've been around since the mid 90's. That's when I got my first computer. Can't say the exact year though.... best guess is '96 or '97

I joined this site i think in the summer of 2007 and all i can say is this is the best site out there in my opinion, no question has ever gone unanswered thanks to everybody who has helped me out

This was the first 'tractor' site that I found when I got my first computer in 1998.

Since then I have found many better, with more accurate information, and none of the "Uncle Snot used to do it this way when he was knee high to a pile of pig sh!t", or wanna bee 'farmers' talking, and writing like poorly educated, semi-literate yokels. Don't feel too bad, most of the dedicated JD sites are equally 'staffed' by the same types of so-called experts.

This place falls into the catagory of pure entertainment, nothing more and nothing less.

Had to check the memorial pages. If Old Farmer passed in fall of 1999, I was probably here for a couple years before that. I joined in right about the time that the Tractor Tales forum was established.

Somewhere around 2000-2001, funny thing is that I registered at some time after, and thought I was good, can't say what happened because my name came up as a guest or whatever and recently re-registered, '08 ? I forget, but all these years I've enjoyed this site, the people here etc. its a good place of comradery/discussion, I especially enjoy seeing the larger farming operations and the related talk. Hope all are here for years to come and also remember those who were here and no longer with us like Hugh McKay (Spelling?) and others.

Been here 11 yrs. , under another name at first . Got my computer then for somthing to do when I got a hip replacment .

Sometime in 1998. I was regular in the live chat then moved over to Tractor Tales. Used to chat with old farmer, he was a heck of a guy.

I think back in the mid to late 90's. For sure 11 years, if not 12 or 13. I remember posting problems from our 1755, which has been dead for a good 8 years now.

Early 2002 B&D helped me out By pointing me to a different brand of starter for my my 4020. Sure been a good starter. Mark

I don't remember for sure, probably 2003 or 2004. I have recieved lots of good information and made some good friends from here. It gets old listening to some people whine and complain, but after I figure out who they are, I ignore their posts. Chris

Dum question? Just what is joinin up on here consist of. Filling out questionere or paying money. I just run on to it one day and filled out some form and been having fun since.

I'm thinking it was '98 or thereabouts It was during the time that kid bought an old 2&1/2 ton Army truck with no brakes , and he couldn't understand how to take off the wheels . Anybody remember that, remember his name ?

If I recall correctly that Iskra starter was either an entire frame size larger.Or was built with high torque windings and armature.

Don't be so bitter and cynical. Along with the info there is endless entertainment. It's close 2nd to watching an auction sale.

Jan 30, 2004 I was looking up specs on SC pushrods, and got an immediate answer! I am working toward 10000 posts (though that seems impossible) I stayed, Jim

I have been keeping my eye on you guys and also the ladies for about a year now but didn't register until last fall.

Steven

Over 10 years, I have received a lot of good info from you guys. I have this one bad habit;
I can & will take anything apart, but I just can't put it back together.

If I could remember that, I'd still be in business. What was that business anyhow? Probably 5 years. Used up two computers. Best site and best people anywhere. Thanks for all the help. Dave

Earl would be pleased.. But you must be still looking to register so it can't be that bad,
Incidentially how can it be MORE accurate, accuracy is "exact, precise" therefore you have incorrectly used more [meaning additional.]

Yes it does beat the heck out of Am radio , been hear since 2003 , Its a great education , lotsa fun , entertaing watching some of these posts get TOOdam Hot til it burns the poofmonster , You know what would be neat????,, and probably possible ... what if a fellow could have his computor set up to speak /read Narrate each post as it came In , with narration stating title listing / and in Response to rrlund and so forth , or New posting Concerning starter on JDeere B , and so forth , that way a guy could be listening in, Greasing wheel bearings and the like in his shop , and would be able to get more things done ... wonder if that is practical ? ,, I wouldn't mind being a narrator ...LOL
