Pin holes in rear tractor rim

I thought I had a decent power adjust rear tractor rim until I sandblasted it. It is now rust free but has several small pin holes. Is there anything on the market that I could apply to the rim to cover these holes? The tractor would be used for light duty...no plowing. It would be almost impossible to weld the holes shut. New rims are expensive.

I weld holes up all the time and if there that small a mig welder would make short work of them. Then just grind smooth and cover with paint. But if they are in fact true pin holes I would just paint the rim real good and the paint would fill the holes. Its not like a tractor rim has to hold up to 100PSI of air pressure.

Not as much pressure in the tire but there's thousands of pounds the tire's holding up. Would be best to clean the area and weld the holes up. Dave

Well guess there's thousands of rims out there that should explode soon. I have seen so many rims with pin holes rust etc etc etc that have held up for decades with not even any paint let alone being welded on. Just a 1/4 bolt will hold up thousands of lbs if just lifted not jerked on and a rim with small pin holes has lots of square inches of metal holding thing up.

If the holes are very small smear JB Weld over them. If you can stick a pencil through them, have them welded up right.

Well, if you've sandblasted them clean, you could mig them or braze them, but if you don't want to do that, I'd wipe some vette bond over them and then paint over it. Vette bond is like bondo but it's harder and water proof. I'd prefer to weld them though.
