I used this to fix my bridge over a stream. We got 3 inches of rain in a hour and a half. Washed everything away. Got some rocks and fill and fixed it.

Looks like a great machine. Did it come in a box off a shelf.Lol just kidding, could not resist

Do you know how much that machine weighs? I had a guy with a kubota out on the farm this past spring. Machine weighed about 6k. It was good but I dont know if a much smaller machine would be very useful. I know they make real small ones that weight about 3-4k.

Here is the stream with little rain, but when we got a lot the water came up over the road. There are 3 pipes under the road, but they couldent handel the water. The pics I took of the washout are on my cell phone, so I cant post them.J

You can knock it all you want, but it is a tuff little machaine for its size, I mean you cant dig a foundation with it. But it really works great. I think its about 3-4 thousand lbs. I can put it on my 7000lb trailer. j

I used the same one, well it looks the same on a landscape job a few years back, it sure saved a ton of labor, to grade the yard before I fenced it, installed concrete pads, a set of stairs and a gate, the walkway I graded out was less than 4'0" in width. A lot of these mini excavators will surprise you, I've ran plenty of em, like the old 225, 235 cat, as well as a few from the later 300 series, 350L, years back, have hauled same when I drove lowboy, the best is when you sat on a bank and loaded trucks all day, talk about an easy job, though running pipe and doing foundations was mostly what we did.

Yep Billy, looks like the same kind. Glad you can see how helpful those little things are. Most people see it and laugh. Iv heard it said "thats no better than a shovel" Ya right. My back feels fine... ;)

Here is a pic of my toy. Thats how I got my handle. I use it for cleaning ditches, digging ponds and treestumps, making trails in woods, loading manure, dirt and gravel, picking up machinery and parts. Anything and everything. And once I start playing with it I lose track of time, hence the handle:

There's some real small ones you stand on that probably don't even weigh a ton. I'd sure rather have that than a shovel! They don't get get tired and have a lot more digging force. They are very useful for specific jobs no matter what size they are. Dave

my BIL rented one of those stand on jobs...i think they called it a COYOTE...anyhow he yelled help and i wound up running for them...hauled 24 yard of topsoil into their back yard from the street with it in a lil over 3 hours...beat the hell out of a shovel and wheel barrow.

Much better than a shovel, It would have taken a week or more to do what needed to be done, without this little machine. Only took hours. One thing about these little ones though, you have to be on the flat, they do tip easily, I had to be careful bringing it down the slope to where the trailer was. Talk about handy though, I think this one would make it through a 36" opening, and the fact that the hoe side-shifts on the tiny carbody, nice machines, I've run Takeuchi's (spelling) minis before, surprising amount of break out power for a little machine.

Yes my friend can drive it threw a 36" or so door, so he could get it into his green house to dig up a pole. I couldent believe he drove it threw that doorway.
